Pulte New Buyer Information Page
What is the Pulte Staging Program? Pulte Homes is offering its new buyers FREE home staging!

Why? Pulte wants to help its new buyers get their existing homes sold. Pulte knows first hand that home staging can get a home sold faster and for more money! Many Pulte employees have witnessed the success that staging can have on home sales in their own neighborhoods. Some employees have used home staging to get their own homes sold!!

Carol Teal, who works at the front desk at the Pulte/Del Webb Grand Reserve community in Grand Blanc, had her home staged. It sold in just a few months after being on and off the market for FOUR YEARS unsold!!

How does it work and is anyone eligible? After you’ve agreed to purchase a new Pulte home, (condo and/or villas and townhouses are eligible too!) your Pulte/Del Webb Sales Counselor will provide you with a STAGING ADDENDUM.

Who? Once you’ve signed the paperwork, you’ll contact Lucy Carleton at REINVENTION HOME STAGING.

Frequently Asked Questions.”ASK THE STAGER” :
Q: How soon should I contact the home stager? My home is a cluttered mess and I want to pack up and toss a lot of things prior to allowing her or an agent into my home!!
A: Contact the home stager ASAP!! (As soon as possible!) Many homeowners pack away too much and the home stager may want to use a particular accessory, or piece of furniture that you just packed or donated!! A home stager can help direct you on what should stay and what needs to go to showcase every room of your home!!

Q: I had a professional interior designer/decorator in my home less than 10 years ago. So, I don’t need a home stager....can I use the funds for my new home?
A: Keep in mind that home stagers are “ANTI-Decorators” because an interior decorator or designer would have decorated your rooms JUST for YOU and would’ve focused on adding PERSONALIZED touches specifically for you and your family’s lifestyle. A Home Stager focuses on DE-PERSONALIZING a home for WIDER APPEAL to buyers. There are many other “opposite” techniques and strategies that still make a home stager very critical to a sale!! Keep in mind that just because your home is beautifully decorated does not mean that it will have excellent selling characteristics.

Q: I’ve been decorating my homes as a hobby and have been watching staging techniques shown on television shows for years now as well as reading books on home staging techniques. So, I think I have a great handle on the staging of my home! Do I still need to have a home stager come in? Can I just have the money and do the staging on my own?
A: Reinvention Home Staging offers various levels of service to all clients, including those qualifying for the Pulte Staging Program. A Home Tour with one of Reinvention’s Home Staging Professionals is a strict requirement of the program. However, a home stager can quickly detect how much staging assistance may be needed from a “pro”. All representatives are empowered to offer more limited levels of service to the homeowner! For example, rather than coming in and actually working on the home, a consultation is available in written report format to provide the homeowner with feedback and suggestions. Then, a Fine Tuning can also be provided to verify work that is completed by the homeowners. Reinvention also can assist with its enormous inventory of artwork, accessories and small furnishings that can be very affordably rented or purchased using the Pulte staging funds! This really helps defray the costs of preparing a home properly so it can better compete with comparable homes in metro Detroit’s challenging market!

Q: Is the home stager going to recommend that I remove my wallpaper? I don’t want to spend any money on updates! I’m already facing a loss of equity on my home. I’d prefer that the next owner make any changes to walls, floors, lighting, etc.
A: Yes, it is the home stager’s responsibility to make a homeowner aware of any home improvements, deferred maintenance and other tasks that will improve a homeowner’s chances of selling a home more quickly and for more money!! However, it is completely up to the homeowner(s) as to whether they will actually implement any of these suggestions. A detailed chart is provided to each homeowner that allows them to mark up and organize what they will do, when they will complete it and whether they’d like assistance from the stager on a particular item.

Q: Before I bought my Pulte home, I had already contacted and worked with a stager to get my current home ready! Can I get any of those costs reimbursed by Pulte Homes?
A: You’ll need to ask your Pulte/Del Webb Sales Counselor. They will be able to advise you.

Q: What if Pulte has allowed me a particular amount of time to try to sell my current home before I have to move forward with my purchase? Am I eligible for the Pulte Staging Program?
A: Contact your Pulte/Del Webb Sales Counselor. They will be able to advise you.

Q: I’m excited to buy my new Pulte home and to work with a home stager on my current home! Can we use the staging funds to buy furniture and accessories that I can use for the sale and then take to my new home?
A: Yes, you can! But, there are limitations to this allowance. Any furniture or accessories purchased must be in stock and available for immediate use for the sale of the existing home.

Q: I have not yet decided to purchase a Pulte home because I’d like to sell my current home before I even meet with a Pulte sales counselor. I’d like to take advantage of the Pulte Staging Program but want to know if the costs could be reimbursed when my home sells and I go in to sign a purchase agreement with Pulte.
A: Definitely contact a Pulte/Del Webb Sales Counselor! They want to help you sell your current home and will happily offer you advise and assistance on the staging program.

Q: I have a lot of questions I need to ask the Home Stager. Is there a charge to call and schedule an appointment or to ask questions via a phone call?
A: Reinvention Home Staging will answer any questions as well as offers free informational visits to homes free of charge!

You do not have to be a new buyer to call or email with questions. We welcome any inquiries!
