Huntington Woods pair to see staging in action

Sometimes it just takes a little help to sell your home -- someone
to tell you to get rid of the clutter, take down some of the
photographs and organize those closets.

David and Julie Harrison will find out how home staging can help
them sell their Huntington Woods house because they were selected
to get a free staging. The Great Lakes Chapter of the International
Association of Home Staging Professionals
gave the Harrison’s the
service to show homeowners how they can make their houses stand
out in a competitive market. Real estate agent Cheryl Kilinski of
RE/MAX Vision
in Huntington Woods nominated her clients' house.
Their three bedroom bungalow on Kingston is vacant. It was chosen
because it's so representative of homes on the market right now,
said Heather Durren, spokeswoman for the Great Lakes Chapter.

The home stagers were expected to begin work on the house
Friday. The work will be shown off during an Open House for
potential buyers and Realtors from 9:30 a.m.-noon on Tuesday. A
public open house -- for those who are just curious -- will be
March 26 from 2 to 5 p.m.

The home's asking price: $245,000.
